The Inventor
There are so many things I wish did exist. For many years now, I've been keeping a list. I'll be the greatest inventor when I am all grown. And the coolest machines I will then own. One idea was inspired 'cause all of my stuff Is grabbed by my bro, and he is quite rough. The "Create-A-Thingie" will make you another When your favorite toy is broken by your brother. Will Mom refuse to let you leave the table, Til you finish your plate, although you're unable? "I-Don't-Want-It-You-Eat-It" will make life a breeze When Mom makes you stay til you eat your veggies. Teacher says my math's in need of assist- A number of problems on my test I had missed. The "Number-ator" makes math skills much greater, Though I'm not sure it's different than my calculator... Bath hour in the way of your Lego time? Mom insists you get rid of the dirt and the grime? The "Dry Shower" cleans you, but never annoys! In five minutes flat you'll be back to your toys! When Mom gets out sunscreen, do you start to squirm? Do you wriggle and twist just like an earthworm? Meet your new friend, the "Sunshine Reflector"- Following you from above, it's your new protector! Is cleaning your room your least favorite chore, And there is anything you would rather do more? A vacuum sucks up toys with suction so strong, Then spits them back out to where they belong! Dear Aunt Louise keeps pinching your cheeks? Her wet kisses leaving smeared lipstick streaks? This decoy I made will no doubt attract, Leaving your face unsqueezed and clean skin intact! How do these ideas get into my head? They come to me all day and when I'm in bed. You might say it is a family tradition, My parents have given me lots of ambition. They're the best inventors that I've ever seen, Though their specialty isn't robots or machine. I don't know how, or if they'd make another, They somehow invented my little brother.
